A Big Hello From The Harbour View

Over the past couple of years, you guys might have noticed a few changes in our restaurant. Since Joe has taken over in the kitchen the quality of food has risen to a high-end standard yet the prices are very reasonable. With his menu changing throughout the year it gives him the opportunity to expand on popular dishes and bring new ones to light.

Having a background of working in fish restaurants and establishments by the water, Joe thought he would start to bring some decent, local seafood to Tollesbury and give the diners the chance to sample some quality grub!

The famous Mersea is within throwing distance (you can actually see it across the water) this means it makes sense to use some locally sourced, fresh seafood for our dishes. So not only are the dishes cooked in some lovely flavours but you know you’re getting top-quality fish too.

It has been a great summer, one of our busiest yet! With lots of boat clubs coming in, people visiting from abroad, the locals starting to hear about the quality of food and the tourism the salt pool brings in we really have had fun and are very happy with the entire season.

As winter comes into play the menu will be altered again, this time with a less summery feel but with a warmer, hearty direction. Fresh seafood platters will always be available due to popularity but some of the other current choices will be changed.

We have some plans for the restaurant over the winter as well so watch this space for updates, plans and keep an eye on our website for menu changes and events coming up.

Our quiz night has started up again and will be continuing throughout the winter every 3rd Wednesday of the month. Come on down to enjoy a night of testing your noggin and having some good quality food and drinks. Entry is £2 and for that, you get a sharing platter at half time and if you’re clever enough a nice prize for first place!

Our Christmas menu will be on the website at the beginning of October and we have already started getting bookings for Christmas parties. If you are interested in having a Christmas party at the restaurant then please get in contact, we are starting to fill up some evenings already!!
